Introducing Airwave Private Networks: 800 MHz License Intelligence

The 800 MHz band carries radio systems for utilities, manufacturers, railroads, public safety agencies, and many other organizations. Getting a clear picture of who holds what, where, and on which channels has usually meant digging through FCC ULS records one call sign at a time. Anyone evaluating spectrum, planning an acquisition, or clearing a band pays for that with hours of manual work.

Today we're launching Airwave Private Networks, a new module that puts every 800 MHz private land mobile license on one searchable, filterable map. Each license comes with a full breakdown of its sites, frequencies, antennas, and filing history. You can also search 800 MHz FCC filings and get a daily email digest of the major ones: assignments, transfers of control, and new leases.

What's Included Today

• Interactive national map of 800 MHz fixed sites, authorized mobile areas, temporary areas, and control stations, with clustering and hover previews

• Full-text search plus structured filters for call sign, FRN, licensee name, and common company name

• Frequency filtering with custom MHz ranges and one-click presets for the paired 806–824 MHz mobile and 851–869 MHz base bands

• Radio service and system type filters: Public Safety, Business, Industrial/Land Transportation, and SMR, trunked or conventional

• License status and date filters: active, expired, canceled, or terminated, with expiration and cancellation date ranges

• Geographic filters by state, plus a coordinate jump to go straight to any latitude and longitude

• Border-region overlays and filters for Canada and Mexico, including cross-border status

• Optional nationwide mobile authorizations, clearly separated from local channel use

• Detailed license drawer with Summary, Entity, Locations, Frequencies, and Applications tabs

• Site-level engineering detail: coverage radius, FCC classification, protection basis, and antenna tip height, role, and azimuth

• Channel clustering that groups frequencies into contiguous runs, with power, ERP, and station class

• Shareable views: every filter is saved in the URL, so you can send a colleague exactly what you're looking at

• Data exports:

  • Assignment workbook (XLSX): one row per license, location, and frequency
  • License list (CSV)

• 800 MHz Applications tracker: search filings by file number, call sign, purpose, status, and date range, with an option to exclude internal transfers, and export the results

• Daily Digest email: a summary each morning of the previous day's major 800 MHz filings, covering assignments of authorization, transfers of control, and new leases
