Airwave Research IT Policy

This document outlines the Information Technology (IT) policy for Airwave Research, aimed at ensuring the security, reliability, and privacy of our platform and its users. It governs the management of user accounts, passwords, saved queries, and data export features.

User Accounts

Account Creation: Users must register an account using a valid email address. The email address serves as the user's unique identifier within our platform.

Account Security: Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account details, including passwords.

Sharing Policy: Users are not permitted to share their account with other individuals. Each account is to be used by the registered user only to ensure accountability and security. Any violation of this policy may result in immediate suspension or termination of the account.

Account Termination: Users may request account deletion at any time. Upon deletion, all associated data, including saved queries and exported data, will be permanently removed.

Password Management

Complexity Requirements: Passwords must meet certain complexity requirements, including a minimum length and a mix of characters. Users will be prompted to adhere to these requirements during account setup and password changes.

Storage: Passwords are not stored in plaintext. Instead, they are hashed using industry-standard techniques to ensure security. In the event of a data breach, hashed passwords significantly reduce the risk of unauthorized access.

Password Resets: Users can reset their passwords through a secure, email-based verification process. This process ensures that only the rightful account owner can initiate and complete a password change.

Saved Queries

Functionality: Users have the ability to save search queries for ease of access and repeated use. Saved queries are stored securely and are accessible only to the user who created them.

Privacy: Saved queries are considered private information. They are not shared with other users or third parties without explicit consent from the user.

Data Export

Feature Overview: Users can export data from Airwave Research. This data is generic and not user-specific, but it can be filtered based on user-defined criteria.

Data Handling: Exported data is provided in a commonly-used format for ease of use outside the platform. Users are encouraged to handle exported data responsibly and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Compliance and Enforcement

Policy Compliance: All users are required to comply with this IT policy as a condition of using Airwave Research. Violations may result in account suspension or termination.

Policy Updates: This policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in technology, legal requirements, or platform features. Users will be notified of significant changes.
